A seed of faith; a stalk of victory
I live in Kingwood, Texas, just north of Houston. I have deposited two sons in heaven. After teaching public school for 30 years, I retired to teach and write for Him. Upon retirement, I taught a women’s Bible study for five years, using Kay Arthur’s Precept Upon Precept studies. Then the Lord prompted me to write full time. I love the Lord with all my heart and want to share that love with others. For a number of years, I gave books to others to read of God’s love; finally, I decided to write some of my own. It gives me the creative outlet I crave while satisfying my desire to tell others about Christ. I attend luncheons, writers’ group meetings, and writers’ conferences with other writers in order to further learn the craft and fellowship with them. I served as president of Inspirational Writers Alive! in Humble, Texas for three years. I enjoy fellowship with church members, community groups, and other writers. I do speaking engagements whenever possible. You might find me speaking at a church, a senior group, a singles group, a writers group, or a community service group, promoting my books, or telling others about the Lord and His faithfulness.
My main passion is to spread the gospel message. I believe through writing I can reach more people than by any other method. I enjoy the process of writing and feel the Master’s pleasure when I write. My purpose in life is to please Him. Like Jeremiah, “It is like fire in my bones.” I cannot be silent. I like to write across the genres: nonfiction, fiction, poetry, devotions, articles, short stories, and songs.
I’m so thankful for my years as a teacher. I taught but I learned more. I taught Bible study again for a time and probably learned more than my students. Now I’ve turned it over to others. I only fill in occasionally. I still take the studies. They are awesome! We never get through learning as long as we’re alive. I continue to learn about writing, computers, the Word of God, and life in general. The best teacher I know is our Savior. His Holy Spirit continues to teach me His ways through the written and living Word. He has made me His Chosen Heart Writer for He has chosen my heart. And I’m thankful!
I believed him for a godly husband with my seed of faith, and God sent a stalk of victory. We were happily married for 37 years. What wonderful memories I have of the awesome man God gave me! I look forward to be with him in heaven, forever! I went through two floods within four months. I sold the house as is. God gave me the new house on my home page. I'm so thankful.
I'm finally getting back to my writing. It has been a long and trying three years. I have missed my writing. Thank God I can continue.
